Scientific Method Step 1: Purpose or Question? What did they want to learn
Dino Answer: How the pyramids were built by tiny humans.
Scientific Method Step 2: Research
Dino Action: the Dinosaurs split up into groups:
Group 1 - logged onto the internet to look up options
Group 2- viewed hours of TV
Group 3 - read books
Once the research period was over the dinosaurs came together with their findings and discussed it.
Scientific Method step 3: Hypothesis what do you predict the answer is
Dino Hypothesis: The dinosaurs thought there could be two possible options after their research. Hypothesis 1: the humans used logs to help move the stones into place. Hypothesis 2: Aliens helped to move, and construct the pyramids.
Scientific Method step 4: Experiment
The dinosaurs got several new pencils and some cardboard and little S's blocks. Working together they moved several of the blocks to form Little S's name. Just before they were finished the aliens beamed down and told them they were doing it wrong.
The dinosaurs are using logs (pencils and cardboard) to make skids like the ancient Egyptians may have.
The dinosaurs had to move seven heavy block to spell little S's name.
These are the aliens beaming down ( space ship is two stacking cups snapped together - tractor beam is 3 wooden blocks placed to show random images as alien writing)
Scientific Method Step 5: Analysis
Dino Answer: it was difficult moving the blocks into place with their large bodies even using the logs and the aliens that came said they were doing it incorrectly.
Scientific Method Step 6: Conclusion - was the hypothesis correct?
Dino Answer: It seems in this case that the arrival of the aliens helped to disprove hypothesis 1 and aided in the validity of hypothesis 2.
This is what Little S awoke to find. Several dinosaurs were moving a block on pencils and two others were positioning the blocks to spell his name. They conducted their experiment in front of a pyramid created by the aliens who are beaming down.
