As it is national chocolate cupcake day I made the cupcake the focal point of the lunch because let's be real it's the first thing the child is going to eat anyway.
Main Compartment:
Triple Chocolate cupcake with fudge center, I added sprinkles to give it a celebration feel. This is actually half a cupcake its cut down the middle which has two beifits: 1. he only get's half a cupcake and 2 it keeps it below the lid line so the frosting doesn't mush.
Top Right Compartment:
Carrot - this is one baby carrot cut into disks and served in a mini silicone cup
Mini Apple- this is one of the last mini crab apples we got a few weeks ago while apple picking. The spicy flavor will cut some of the sweetness of the cupcake and also tie together the flavors in the ravioli.
Bottom Right Compartment:
Two cheesy chicken nuggets
Two pumpkin, ricotta and cinnamon ravioli left over from national pasta day yesterday.
